Blindfold Rules
- Unless stated otherwise, we will abide by the rules of the Lichess LoneWolf League.
- Register with your main league account. For playing the game, dedicated blindfold alternates are very strongly preferred (and allowed by Lichess). Add the name of your blindfold account to the Blindfold Account List (see "Documents").
- All league games will be rated games on Lichess.org with blindfold mode on, played at a time control of 15+10. Blindfold mode is activated once the game is created: click the hamburger menu (☰) under your opponent's name and toggle the "Blindfold" setting.
- Players guarantee that they will not look at the board position during the course of the game. Move list, board highlights, text-to-speech, and other variations are at the player's discretion. See the Blindfold How To for more information. Note: As of this writing, streamers may not show the board position on stream per 4545 mod recommendation; however, streamers are invited to contact a mod with their proposed setup for further consideration.
- Half-point byes must be requested by the end of the Sunday before the round is to be paired. There is no limit to the number of byes that may be requested, but late-joiners will receive a maximum of two half-points.
- Pairings will be released, posted to the channel, and updated on this site Monday nights (per U.S. time). Players are responsible for generating a direct message to the opponent within 24 hours. The standard league rules apply from there.
This season would not be possible without the hard work of previous league mods kostasvl, Isachess, and Psymar2 (as well as others--ping jwwells42 for corrections), and the current help of oOoSHONUFFoOo, guitarspider, and jg777. See here for information on previous editions.
